My name is Javier Alvarez. I’m a Mexican embedded software engineer currently living in the Netherlands.

The name of this website comes after Richard Stallman’s article: On hacking. The blog is a record of my experiments in the spirit of playfulness cleverness–-a concept taken from Stallman’s writings—notes taken about things that spark my curiosity.

Although I let myself to write about any topic that comes to mind at first—purposefully avoiding tech-related topics–I have decided to shift my approach and focus my writing–mainly–on software development.
